Knowsley Council's Policy and Performance Service plays a crucial role in supporting the management and development of the Council and the impact it has in the borough. 

The service has four functions/ disciplines:

- Policy and Research

- Intelligence and Insight

- Performance and Risk

- Business Improvement.

The service works with Council services to:

- understand the needs of local people, using data and insight

- develop and implement key strategies and plans based on this need

- develop and manage the performance of all services

- identify opportunities to improve processes and outcomes in service delivery using improvement tools such as business process re-engineering and customer journey mapping.

This post offers the postholder the opportunity to develop skills in performance and to work with different Council deparments to apply these skills.  This is an ideal opportunity to learn how each different Council department works and to develop valuable skills sought after by many employers.

Key Responsibilities - work with Performance and Risk colleagues to:

  • support the development and delivery of high quality management information and intelligence
  • produce focused performance management reports

•       provide statistical and other information to support management decision making.

You must have minimum GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English and be able to evidence this with a Certificate.
