Knowsley Council's Policy and Performance Service plays a crucial role in supporting the management and development of the Council and the impact it has in the borough. 

The service has four functions/ disciplines:

- Policy and Research

- Intelligence and Insight

- Performance and Risk

- Business Improvement.

 

The service works with Council services to:

- understand the needs of local people, using data and insight

- develop and implement key strategies and plans based on this need

- develop and manage the performance of all services

- identify opportunities to improve processes and outcomes in service delivery using improvement 

tools such as business process re-engineering and customer journey mapping.

 

The postholder will work within the Operational Improvement Team providing business improvement support to the Council to enable it to be efficient and effective in delivering its objectives.

This post offers the postholder the opportunity to develop skills in business improvement including business process engineering, customer journey mapping and IT system exploitation and to work within each Council department with Business Improvement colleagues to apply them.  This is an ideal opportunity to learn how each different Council department works and to develop valuable skills sought after by many employers.

The successful candidate bust hold a minimum GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English and able to evidence with certificate.
