The Benefits Service forms part of Exchequer Services and are located in Nutgrove Villa, Huyton. The Team works flexibily between 7am and 7pm with a combination of office based and home working.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Housing Benefit Officer to join our committed and friendly Housing Benefit Team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will deal with all aspects of the administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction and Free School Meals claims. This includes maintaining accurate records, dealing with enquiries and providing advice and explanations to customers over the telephone as well as collaboration with other departments within the Authority and external key stakeholders.

Apprentices/Graduate minimum GCSE grade C or above - able to evidence with certificate
