The Business Support Service provide efficient administrative and financial support to various teams across the Council. Working flexibly as required to assist the services supported in meeting their objectives and priorities.

You will be supporting and working closely with Social Workers and Assistant Care Managers who work as part of Knowsley’s Hospital Discharge Team.

The role will require you to be office based Monday - Friday and your main location would be Whiston Hospital and at times working from Aintree Hospital as and when required.

The key responsibilities would be to deal with telephone enquiries, updating and maintaining patient records/trackers as well as sharing sensitive and confidential information between third party agencies and other general administration duties.

The ideal candidate will have proven administration experience with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

You would be expected to work within set timeframes in a pressurised environment and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to deal confidentially with matters of a sensitive nature is an essential part of this role.
