We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join Knowsley Council’s Policy and Research Team. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to making a difference to the Borough.

This will include working with a range of Council services to develop strategies and policies which will respond to the new opportunities and challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic poses for Knowsley residents and communities.  It will also include a focus on supporting senior officers and Elected Members in the Council’s work with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and other strategic partners.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with strong report-writing skills and proven experience in providing advice and recommendations on complex topics to a range of audiences. 

Candidates will have outstanding research and analysis skills, with experience in working closely with internal and external to develop robust and evidenced-based policies, strategies and delivery plans. 

This is a high profile, fast paced and challenging role which will involve close working with senior decision-makers, Elected Members and strategic partners.  Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of working with a wide range of stakeholder groups to be able to build and maintain strong relationships across organisations and sectors.
