Family First is a family support service working with families who have multiple/complex needs. This is a growing team who are looking for experienced and motivated support workers to aid and empower families who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.

Domestic Abuse is an increasing and ongoing factor in many of the families' lives within Knowsley and impacts on parents and children in many ways. 

This is an innovative and exciting opportunity where we are seeking support workers who can offer creative and empowering strategies to engage families via various methods.

This is a new team who will be integral in reducing the impact of domestic abuse on the families of Knowsley but will sit within the wider Family First team.

Support will be provided around a range of issues including, the impact of domestic abuse on young people;

Recovery work with parents and children/young people

Multi-agency work with other specialised services

Monitoring impact and evidencing outcomes

Facilitation of group work programmes and one to one direct work

Engage in identified training

A minimum of 2 years, recent experience of working directly with families with multiple needs with children aged 0-18.

A minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a related field (e.g. Health and Social Care) or equivalent experience.

Access to the wide provision of training in Knowsley
